Scan Button is Greyed Out in PaperPort

 


  1. Download this ZIP file and save it to a known location on the system. We prefer that you save it on your desktop.
  2. Close out of all applications.
  3. Turn on file extensions by following these steps:
    1. Open Windows Explorer by clicking on  My Computer  on the Windows Desktop or Windows Start Menu -Click  Tools > Folder Options > View (tab) -Locate the option  Hide file extensions for known file types  and remove the check next to it.
    2. Click  OK  to save the changes
    3. Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the following location (the path will be different if PaperPort was installed to a different location):
    4. C:\Program Files\ScanSoft\PaperPort
  4. Locate the following files and rename their extension to .old:
RnWIA.rsd RnTWAIN.rsd
RnRSDSCS.dll
RnRSDOS.dll
RnRSD.dll
PPScanMg.exe
  1. Copy the update files from the downloaded ZIP file into the PaperPort installation folder.
