Replacing a Failed Drive with an Intel RAID Controller

Each drive that has been configured as a member of a RAID array has some configuration information stored on it. If you are adding a drive to a failed RAID array, which was once a member of this or another array, it will say "Foreign configuration found" when you insert the disk. You will have to choose "Clear" to remove the config on the new drive before it can be used again in this existing RAID array.

Be careful! Know what you are doing, and what configuration the software is actually talking about. You don't want to accidentally clear the configuration on your live array!
