The Fix My Network Wizard (FNCW) is designed to be run by the administrator as the first step in any network related troubleshooting.
Considerations
- It can be launched as many times as requried, in fact as the fixes have dependencies (eg. if the DHCP service is stopped, it will not perform any more DHCP tests) the wizard should be run again after any remediation is done.
- If a router is replaced or the IP address of SBS changes, consider running the Connect to the Internet Wizard (CTIW) first.
- The wizard will bring the network back to a "known good state" - ie. any custom configurations will be un-done (a good reason to always follow best practice and never have any custom configuration unless absolutely required!)
