Rebuilding the Search Index in Windows 7

If you cannot find certain items that you know are there, it might be time to rebuild the search index.

  1. Click Start
  2. Type "Indexing Options" and press Enter
  3. Click Advanced (you may need to enter an administrator password)
  4. Click Rebuild
